At Basingstoke Boxing Classes, we welcome children from age 5 right through to 16 in our dedicated junior programmes. Here's a complete guide for parents.

Two Age Groups — What's the Difference?

Juniors Boxing (Ages 5–10)

Our youngest members develop coordination, listening skills, basic boxing techniques, and confidence in a fun, age-appropriate environment. No pressure — just positive development through sport.

  • Wednesday: 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 5:00pm
  • Friday: 5:00pm (Mixed-Kids)

Youth Boxing (Ages 11–16)

Teenagers train more seriously — developing real boxing skills, sparring (optional), competition opportunities, and the character-building benefits of pushing through challenge.

Timetable:

  • Monday: 6:00pm
  • Wednesday: 5:00pm
  • Thursday: 6:00pm

Pricing: Same structure as juniors — Bronze/Silver/Gold tiers.

What Your Child Actually Gets from Boxing Training

  • Cardiovascular health
  • Healthy weight management

The Less Obvious — But More Important — Benefits

  • Confidence earned through overcoming real challenges
  • Discipline — following instructions, showing up, working hard
  • Emotional regulation — channelling energy and frustration positively
